1.1 Background of the Study
The integration of animation in education has revolutionized traditional teaching methods, making learning more interactive, engaging, and effective. In the field of science education, animation provides dynamic visualizations of complex scientific concepts, which enhances understanding and retention (Abdullahi & Garba, 2024). For students in Damaturu South Local Government Area, Yobe State, where access to advanced teaching tools is limited, animation can bridge educational gaps by presenting scientific ideas in accessible formats. Studies suggest that animated content not only improves comprehension but also fosters curiosity and critical thinking among learners, thereby addressing challenges in science education delivery (Ibrahim & Musa, 2023).
1.2 Statement of the Problem
Despite the potential of animation to enhance science education, its application remains minimal in many Nigerian schools, including those in Damaturu South. The lack of engaging teaching methods often results in students developing a negative attitude toward science, ultimately affecting their performance (Yusuf & Bello, 2024). This study explores how animation can transform science education in Damaturu South by improving learning outcomes and fostering interest in scientific fields.
